Casey Durand is a digital artist and filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon. Using real-time computer graphics and video together, Casey creates visceral digital experiences, bringing deeply human experiences of anxiety, grief, and desire to a medium typically perceived as cold and calculated.
Her work is equal parts experimentation and research. Delving deep into the dark and unsavory corners of online culture, she brings to light challenging conversations around the the proliferation of violent images, transness and the uncanny valley, exploitative tech policy, and the nature of interpersonal relationships within modern techno-capitalism.
Casey has worked as a freelance video editor, motion graphics artist, and visual effects artist since 2018.
